Apartman Antenal

Antenal is a small Istrian settlement on the southern side of the Mirna estuary, roughly three kilometres southeast of Novigrad. Its character comes not from a conventional holiday waterfront but from the meeting of the deeply recessed Luka Mirna bay, port facilities and a working coastal quarry. Limestone has long been extracted around the Mirna estuary, while modern quarrying at Antenal began in 1965. The local port lies immediately south of Novigrad harbour and forms part of the network managed by the Umag–Novigrad County Port Authority. River deposits shape the eastern end of the bay, and nautical documentation notes shoals and rocks on the approach to Antenal. Road access is tied to the D75 state road, the coastal route connecting the settlement with Novigrad and Tar. Antenal therefore rewards interest in estuarine scenery, port infrastructure and industrial heritage more than expectations of a developed seaside resort. For a conventional beach day, the officially listed choices in nearby Novigrad include Rivarela, Karpinjan, Pineta and the town beach.
